Are you a beginner knitter encountering problems or mistakes in your work that you're not sure how to fix? If so, this class is for you! We will explore the most common knitting problems beginners make, how to read your knitting to identify the problem, how to fix those problems, and techniques that can help you prevent problems before they start. This class will include open time to knit and work on your own project with instructor help, so please do bring a project you are working on that you're having a little trouble with, or that you would enjoy working on in community. Before starting this class, you should be able to cast on, knit, purl, and cast off on your own or with brief guidance.
- This class will also include some open studio time for you to work in community on any project you like, with instructor availability. Please bring yarn or projects you would like to work on or plan out with you!
Accessibility notes: Many artmaking processes require the ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time, fine motor skills/finger dexterity, repetitive motions, vision, and some amount of physical strength. Knitting/crochet requires moderate hand strength, repeated motions, and close vision. Majority of class can be taken seated.
Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.
