Drawing Lab (Ages 6 – 8)

Let’s explore the fun parts of drawing: Surprises, creative flow and experimentation. In the process, we'll build our technical drawing skills. This class includes lots of drawing experiments. Like mad scientists in our lab, we'll see which new formulations and reactions we can create. It will get a little silly and a little spectacular!
Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.
Accessibility notes: In youth art classes, many artmaking processes involve (age-appropriate) fine motor skills, physical strength, vision, and ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Hannah Larney
Hannah Larney is an artist and educator based in RVA. She graduated from VCUarts in 2018 with a BFA in Art Education, and spent four years as the art teacher at Acquinton Elementary School in King William County. Hannah views art as a means of exploring ideas and making sense of the world, and she encourages her students to take creative risks and express themselves in new ways. When she's not in a classroom you'll usually find her reading a book, working in the garden, or running on a trail by the river.
