Youth After School | Available

Learn the basics of hand building with clay and to create both functional and non-functional wares. We will discuss generating creative ideas, cover a variety of techniques, and explore the world of clay! Use stoneware clay to make an altar or mini-curio cabinet, then design tiny sculptures to place inside.

  • Students will be asked to provide sketches of their ideas.
Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.
This class does not meet on 11/4.

Accessibility notes: In youth art classes, many artmaking processes involve (age-appropriate) fine motor skills, physical strength, vision, and ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. VisArts values making classes accessible to everyone, and is always happy to work with students to make accommodations when possible. Please reach out to info@visarts.org with specific questions related to accessibility or accommodations.
