Puppet Party! (Ages 6 – 8)

This class is all about puppets. In this class, we will make several kinds of puppets and create our own puppet stories to perform.
Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.
This class does not meet on 11/4.
Accessibility notes: In youth art classes, many artmaking processes involve (age-appropriate) fine motor skills, physical strength, vision, and ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. In this class, students will hold and use paint brushes and drawing tools for the duration of class, taking breaks as needed. Students will draw objects from observation from a distance of approximately 6 ft.
Kerry Mills
Kerry Mills is an art historian who has brought her life long love of art, material exploration, and making to children for the past 25 years. Kerry has taught at VisArt, VMFA and Sabot at Stony Point. Kerry supports young artists as they learn about materials, explore media, and tap into their creativity - allowing them to realize their own vision in the studio space while supporting their process.
