Experimental Comics (Limited Offering)

Study experimental comics of the past and present and explore different artistic mediums and methods of storytelling to make our own comics.

  • Students should have some drawing experience before taking this class. Students should bring a sketchbook to use in class. Other materials will be provided. Be prepared to take projects home with you.




    Accessibility notes: Many artmaking processes require the ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time, fine motor skills/finger dexterity, repetitive motions, vision, and some amount of physical strength. Whitlock, Rae
Rae Whitlock

Rae Whitlock is a multimedia artist and educator living and working in Richmond, Virginia. She has an MFA in Performance Art from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where she also taught Art History and Writing. She has had the pleasure of teaching all age groups through VisArts since 2019 and aims to make art fun and accessible for everyone.
