Experimental Performance + Writing Collective (Ages 12 – 14) (Limited Offering) – New!
Youth After School | Registration opens 11/5/2025 9:00 AM EST
In this 8 week-long program of the Youth Experimental Performance Collective, students will collectively write an original play based on unconventional writing exercises, culminating in a reading or performance.
- We will be doing a lot of writing by hand or typing—each student can work at their own pace, but this should be in mind when deciding to take the class. There may also be some physical performance activities but every aspect of the class can be adjusted to fit each students' needs and abilities.
Accessibility notes: In youth art classes, many artmaking processes involve (age-appropriate) fine motor skills, physical strength, vision, and ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. VisArts values making classes accessible to everyone, and is always happy to work with students to make accommodations when possible. Please reach out to info@visarts.org with specific questions related to accessibility or accommodations.
Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.
- All materials are provided. There is no materials list for this class.
