Youth After School | Registration opens 11/5/2025 9:00 AM EST

Get ready to be a super fan and re-create your favorite music artist or video game character. Create a miniature with needle-felting natural fibers based on a beloved cartoon or real-life figure. Needle felting is intuitive and very easy to learn. We will learn the basics of creating a 3D sculpture while learning how to color mix with raw wool.

  • This studio is not wheel chair accessible from the interior due to two steps, but is accessible through an exterior door.
Accessibility notes: In youth art classes, many artmaking processes involve (age-appropriate) fine motor skills, physical strength, vision, and ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. VisArts values making classes accessible to everyone, and is always happy to work with students to make accommodations when possible. Please reach out to info@visarts.org with specific questions related to accessibility or accommodations.
Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.
  • All materials are provided. There is no materials list for this class.

Troi Qualls

Hi, I'm Tori! I love to paint and talk about art! In my work I try to reuse supplies and repurpose old fabrics to give them new life. My subject matter usually leans toward domestic scenes such as the home, and the incorporation of fibers help bring an expressive quality to my work. I love all mediums, but I use a lot of paper in my work in different collage forms.
