Watercolor Primer
Adult Multi-Week | Registration opens 11/5/2025 9:00 AM EST
Jump start your watercolor painting with this inspirational class! Students will be led through a series of watercolor painting techniques including dry wash, wet wash, wet-on-wet washes, gradients, color blending, and brushwork. Demonstrations will include glazing and layering techniques. Students will use special materials and tools for creating texture in paintings. Color theory and mixing will also be reviewed in each session with an emphasis on design and composition. Students will complete several studies and small paintings throughout the session.
Due to set of stairs, Drawing North is not wheelchair accessible.
Accessibility notes: Many artmaking processes require the ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time, fine motor skills/finger dexterity, repetitive motions, vision, and some amount of physical strength.
