Creativity at Work/Private Workshop for Lamb Center for Arts and Healing

Workshop: Stained Glass
Participants: up to 10 adults
Time: 4-8pm
Location: Animation Studio + Glass Studio

Schedule:
4 - 5pm Animation Studio available for independent group use if desired (lunch, snacks, meeting, etc...)
5 - 8pm - Stained Glass workshop in the Glass Studio

Meeting Space
For the duration of your event, the Animation Studio is available for your group to use as needed. VisArts is not responsible for providing food/beverage or paper products. Please clean up everything at the end of your event.

Stained Glass Suncatchers
Learn the basics of working in VisArts' Glass studio by creating a light catcher! Students will learn to cut glass, grind the edges, foil the glass, then solder it all together.

Atkinson, Barbara
Barbara Atkinson

For 46 years, Barbara has been a professional teaching artist specializing in stained glass. She worked and taught in several different studios before becoming a partner in Atkinson-Betts Stained Glass, creating custom installed architectural stained and etched glass for homes, churches and businesses. Since 2008 she has continued her craft studying with international glass artists at The Studio at the Corning Museum of Glass, Pittsburgh Glass Center, Penland School of Crafts, and Wheaton Arts. Currently she is teaching stained glass and sandblasting at the Visual Arts Center in Richmond, where she has been an instructor for 18 years.
