This class is for beginning students wanting to learn to throw on the pottery wheel. Class will focus on learning to center clay and practice proper wheel throwing. The first few days will focus on learning. Students can expect to bring home one or two finished pieces that have been fired, trimmed and glazed at the end of the two week class. 


  • This class is limited to 8 students and will not run without a minimum of 6.
    There will be no class on July 4th.
  • Class price includes a 25 lb. bag of clay.
    Students WILL need to purchase a basic 8 piece pottery tool kit for the class. Kits can be found at local art supply stores (Jerry's Artarama, Dick Blick, Michaels) and cost approximately $12.

Jessica Fallis is a high school art teacher for the West Hartford Public School system. Fallis received her Master of Arts from the University of Vermont in 2014, and graduated from the University of Hartford with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting and Master of Arts in English.
