Classes will continue to focus on innovative approaches to making contemporary abstract art.
The 8 week winter session theme is :
“RE-MIX” a pastiche of artistic explorations on paper influenced by nature, fiber-textile arts and Postmodern designers such as Lucienne Day, Jacqueline Groag, Alex Girard, Anni Albers and others.
Color, shapes, pattern, texture, line work, will be emphasized with a focus on original compositions and the principles of good design.

Students will continue to be introduced to the work of noted contemporary artists and art movements. Weekly assignments will integrate the use of wet and dry media, pen and ink products, painting and collage, and assemblage. Students will learn about how to resolve artistic dilemmas by disturbing, interrupting, camouflaging, cropping, embellishing, cutting-up and reassembling work that goes AWOL.
- This class is built upon previous collage classes taught by the instructor which included painting papers, mark making, resists, printmaking etc. This class is for intermediate and advanced students who have taken previous classes with the instructor or by special permission from the instructor.

C. Dianne Zweig
C. Dianne Zweig is a Contemporary Mixed Media abstract artist whose artwork is influenced by the organic shapes and abstract designs of 1950s textiles. She is member of Connecticut Women Artists and a founding member of Mixus, a group of women artists who work in Mixed media. Dianne is enjoys teaching art classes and workshops to all ages. Also a retired psychotherapist, Dianne is interested in the psychology of the creative process and creative aging. She holds a Master's Degree from Rutgers University and recently was recognized with a Pat Rosoff Award for Abstract Art. http://www.cdiannezweig.com/
