Create abstract paintings among like-minded artists. Students may begin new work or bring work in progress, should be open to critique and participating in discussion. The instructor will focus on the use of limited space, structure of paintings, composition, balance, and the nature of abstract art.

  • -Canvas that is at least 18x24
  • -Pallet knife
  • -Palette: either a book of disposable paper palettes or a plastic one
  • -3 brushes total: large and medium sizes
  • -Acrylic or oil paint: orange-yellow, lemon-yellow, cadmium red, crimson red, ultramarine blue, photo blue, white, black
  • -Turpentine or linseed oil, and a few paper towels for cleaning brushes
