Free Robotics Workshop: Build It, Code It, Drive It!

The Bermuda National Robotics Team and Connectech Coding is giving back to the community by hosting a free robotics workshop for young people ages 9 to 14.

Over three hands-on hours, participants will build their very own VEX robot from the ground up and bring it to life using block coding. Every child gets their own kit of pieces and a computer ready to go, with members of the national team guiding them step by step.

Once the robots are built and coded, the fun really begins. Kids will test their creations in our open space, drive them around, and see how their robots interact with others. Team members will also share their own robotics journey, from first build to competing on the national stage.

No experience is needed. Just bring your curiosity!

Time: 1 to 4pm

Location: Connectech Coding, Sofia House, 4th Floor, 48 Church Street, Hamilton
Cost: Free

  • Nut Free Environment
    Connectech is a nut free space. Please make sure any snacks your child brings contain no nuts or nut products.

    Respect and Kindness
    Connectech is a safe and welcoming space for every child. We have a zero tolerance policy for bullying of any kind, including teasing, name calling, exclusion, or unkind behavior toward others. We expect all participants to treat one another, our volunteers, and the equipment with respect. If a child's behavior puts the safety or enjoyment of others at risk, a parent or guardian will be contacted and may be asked to pick their child up early. Please take a moment to talk with your child about being kind and supportive to their fellow builders.


  • What to Bring
    All robot kits and computers are provided, so no supplies are needed. Children may bring a water bottle with a secure lid and a snack. Please label all belongings with your child's name.
