PREREQUISTE:
Students must have completed intermediate coding to be eligible for our CubeSat camp and must be 11yrs or older. Through our evaluations we will determine when the child is ready to move on to our intermediate level classes. Students work at their own pace as they advanced through the coding levels. If you are unsure if your child is ready for the next level classes please contact us via email and we will advise. If you register for a level class and your child is not ready we will transfer them to the appropriate level class and send you an email notification of the change.

OVERVIEW FOR CODING CAMP:
Our NEW CubeSat Robotic and Coding Camp combines robotics, coding and even 3-d printing activities.  advanced level Coding Camp has students working on python programming activities. Students will build and code a CubeSat prototype to release with the goal to collect the atmospheric and weather data with the goal to analysis this data.

Classes start at 9:00am and children may arrive at 8:30am but no earlier. All children must be collected by 5:30pm no later. Child each lunch at Connectech.

  • Students must bring headphones and water bottles to the class.

  • We provide laptops however, if your child wishes to bring their device they can.

  • TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS (suggestions):

  • Please note that certain camps, will require software installation on student’s computer prior to the camp start date. Instructions will be provided to registered campers ahead of time.

  • For Beginners, Intermediate, Python 1 and Robotics an iPad, Tablet or Chrome can be used. Laptops are recommended.

  • For Python 2, Python 3, Minecraft and Roblox a laptop is required as software will need to be uploaded.

  • Our technical recommendations for all our programs are:

  • • Computer: PC (Windows XP or later) or Mac (OSX 10.7 or later) with at least a 2GHz processor and 2GB of RAM (4GB of RAM is recommended).
  • • Internet: Broadband internet with at least 1.2Mbps download and 600Kbps upload speeds.
  • • Webcam: Either external or built-in (many laptops have an integrated camera).
  • • Microphone and Speakers: We recommend headphones with a built-in microphone. But any microphone and speakers will work fine in a quiet room.
