Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced artist, watercolor painting offers a world of possibilities. Together, we’ll explore and enjoy the beauty of this captivating medium. Through engaging experiments, practical exercises and a focus on the creative process, you will begin your journey, develop a practice and let your visions emerge in a supportive and collaborative environment. We’ll engage with many of the tools and materials, plus learn foundational techniques and tips to get you your way. Let’s experiment with creating textures and visual effects to add to your paintings and look at some of the different approaches to watercolor, learning how composition, color, shape and form help us convey our unique conceptual expressions.

Donna Berk

As an undergraduate of Simmons College, Boston, and a graduate student of Boston College and beyond, I have directed much of my attention to advancing creative curriculum and methods of instruction in schools. It was an honor to be invited to some of the more than fifty-one countries involved in advancing a philosophy for children's programs to speak about and train teachers in this special method . Preceding my scholarly endeavors I enjoyed designing and manufacturing handbags and accessories, curating art exhibitions, and writing editing and translating foreign language artist’s text for publication. I also studied sculpture at the Museum of Fine Arts School, Boston and watercolor privately with an inspiring teacher, Alexi Neyman. In 2017 I moved to Naples, Florida and re-focused my attention once again to my true passion, creating art. I began doing outreach for NAI and have enjoyed engaging students of all ages and abilities to express joy through creating art. I remain privileged to share this truly rewarding experience.
