Bold & Beautiful Birds
Workshops | Available
Learn the art of monoprinting and create stunning collagé papers. Then, let your creativity run wild by arranging them into a fascinating abstract. To give your artwork a unique touch, we’ll employ a reverse painting technique to block out the background & bring your colorful bird to life! With the guidance of the skilled instructor, students will receive demonstrations, work time, and one-on-one coaching to ensure a successful outcome. Enjoy the day by expressing your artistic side!

Julie Tibus
A Bachelor of Fine Arts, Julie Tibus has been professionally selling and showing her work for over 15 years and currently teaches at her own studios in Ann Arbor and Brighton, Michigan. Julie has an insatiable curiosity that leads her to explore emerging mediums with a desire to discover new techniques. Her work draws from an intersection of nature and her own bold expression of it.
"My art is centered on exploring natural form, embracing color, and working intuitively. I begin with a loose thought (floral, landscape, color, pattern, shape) then move through the composition with an internal desire to free myself from laboring and instead lose myself completely to the process. I believe we all are creative and through art we can learn how to overcome the fear of comparison, the unknown, and those hard expectations we impose on ourselves. My work is for the viewer to experience, contemplate and enjoy."
