Geometry & Fibonacci Sequence in Art II

Adult Classes | Available

This is a continuation of the first class, but with a more in-depth examination of how to expand our knowledge onto the canvas. Geometry and Fibonacci’s sequence still take center stage as we further develop our skillset. As we build upon what we have learned with the Rule of Thirds, we will expand our canvas size and subject matter to incorporate both geometry and the Fibonacci sequence into our overall piece. I give live demonstrations and encourage discussions. Come with an open mind and learn how math is very much part of the artistic landscape.

  • For the first class, bring only one canvas 24” x 24” and one 11” x 14” canvas, and all other supplies listed below.

Purchase one 20” x 20” canvas, and a pack of 11” x 14” canvases. Keep in mind, you may need more canvases depending on how you work.

Golden high flow (dries fastest), or Golden fluid acrylics; color choice is yours. After the first class, you can decide on other colors or brands you might want to use. Another brand you could use: NOVA

Paint brushes: flat, angle, filbert, round

    High gloss varnish

    Painter’s Tape

Plastic cup or container for water

Palmolive or Dawn dish soap to clean your brushes

Paper towels or cloth for wiping and cleaning brushes

You can purchase supplies at: Michaels (online), novacolorpaint.com, Jerry’s Artarama (online), Dick Blick (online), Jackson’s (online), Holbein Artist Materials (online), and many other retailers.
