If you have a flare for graphic design and illustration this workshop is ideal! Learn the step-by-step process of creating a group of cards. Working with pen and ink, watercolor and gouache, develop your skills at concept, subject matter and series of images narrating different subject matters: birds, flowers, landscapes, still lifes, etc. This is a great way to personalize your correspondence with friends and family. All levels of artists are encouraged. As Picasso once said: “I paint objects as I think of them, not as I see them”. Inspirations exists, but it has to find you working!
STRATHMORE blank greeting cards
Sharpie extra fine point black markers (you can substitute with pentel or any permanent black markers that are extra fine points)
Watercolor set: Prang 16 set or Winsor & Newton travel set (if you have an existing set please bring them!)

Vicky Tesmer
Celebrated American artist, Vicky Tesmer, is a practicing professional artist from Chicago. Her work can be seen in collections throughout America, Paris, Egypt and Germany. She is represented by Artfully Walls, Anthropologie and has exhibited throughout Chicago. She received her MFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and studied in Versallies, France where she learned techniques of the Renaissance Masters and was classically trained. Her murals and interiors can be seen in countless interiors.
