Human Figure Intensive

Advance your skill sets with the human figure in all mediums: charcoal, conte, pastels, and/or oil or acrylic paint. Develop capturing the human figure and anatomy growing your technical ability at proportions, contour lines, lighting, foreground to background and placing the figure in space. Immerse yourself in developing the portrait concentrating on color, skin pigment, likeness, and accuracy of the geometry of the face. We will begin with quick gesture sketches in charcoal, conte and/or pastels and move into longer poses for both days of portraiture and figure drawing. There will be demonstrations by the instructor in portraiture and figure drawing/painting.
- An additional cash model fee will be collected at the start of the day based on the model's sitting fee and the total number of students enrolled in the workshop.

Vicky Tesmer
Celebrated American artist, Vicky Tesmer, is a practicing professional artist from Chicago. Her work can be seen in collections throughout America, Paris, Egypt and Germany. She is represented by Artfully Walls, Anthropologie and has exhibited throughout Chicago. She received her MFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and studied in Versallies, France where she learned techniques of the Renaissance Masters and was classically trained. Her murals and interiors can be seen in countless interiors.
