Alcohol Ink Painting
Adult Classes | Available
Explore the expressive possibilities of alcohol inks on Yupo paper, using tools like isopropyl alcohol, Scotch tape, dotting tools, and compressed air. Through live demonstrations, you’ll gain a clear understanding of how to approach this fluid medium and how to create a range of textures and effects. We’ll also cover color combinations and shape development to help you build more intentional compositions. Alcohol ink is a forgiving medium—mistakes can often be lifted or reworked—but it also brings an element of unpredictability, as colors spread and interact in dynamic ways

Inks stain clothes & skin, so you need to be dressed appropriately with closed-toed shoes and an apron as this can be a messy process. You may also want to bring a mask, as using isopropyl alcohol is very strong.
91% isopropyl alcohol

Color choice and the brand are up to you; however, do not purchase cheap inks since the quality is too poor. Brands I would suggest are Pinata or Ranger Tim Holtz.
