Challenge yourself by applying your watercolor skills to the great outdoors. Learn how to develop your observation techniques and capture the beauty of various Naples locales in vibrant watercolor. We will explore composition, form and perspective with the changing scene in front of us. Each class will feature demonstrations and students will receive plenty of one-on-one instruction.

  • Although this class is held outdoors, the instructor requests that all participants wear masks.
  • Watercolors
  • Palette
  • Paintbrushes and pencil
  • Water and container
  • Paper (block or paper on board with clips or tape)
  • Chair or towel and easel if you like to sit
  • Paper towels or small cloth towel
  • Beach sticker, hat, sunscreen
  • Any favorite supplies you like to use
  • The painting location will change every week. We will collect contact information at the first class meeting at NA for those who would like to carpool and to update students in case of rain or a change in location.

Painting has become a journey of interest for Sue throughout her life. She has had the pleasure to take workshops with many gifted artists and to travel with her paints in Mexico, Europe, China and this beautiful country. She works in all watermedia within the range of realism to abstraction. The doors of experimentation are always open and the joy of the search is ongoing. She has Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Pennsylvania and has taught all age levels from grade school to senior citizens. susandalyartwork.com
