Make this a personal holiday and join me to create your very own floral treasure to share with family or friends. We will simplify the approach to painting beautiful, unique florals on Da Vinci Gesso panels .... using watercolors or acrylics. No framing necessary. And, the beautiful art boards can be hung on the wall, placed on a mantel, or snuggled into a beautiful holiday centerpiece. This class is intended to be a fun holiday experience for those that have never painted, but anyone is welcome!

  • This class is VIRTUAL. Students will be emailed a link to join the class live prior to its start.
  • Any basic drawing materials that are easy for you to work with (pencil, pen, crayon, pastel) and paper.
  • Da Vinci Gesso Panel, resist grip, 9x12 inches is suggested, but you may of course choose another size. I wouldn't go much smaller...painting small is actually hard!
  • For the painting, my first choice is acrylics for their vivid hues. But, it doesn't have to be the exact color you see, pick a palette that you find beautiful.
  • Any brushes will do, three sizes you feel comfortable handling (you don't need a super small or fine one) and the quality is not important for this project.
  • Please choose a flower arrangement (silk or live) that you fall in love with. Liking what you are painting is really important. This isn't homework, this is an ooh la la moment. I recommend using flowers with large beautiful petals such as amaryllis, poinsettias or tulips. Photos are a possibility but a real subject is more fun.
