From Agatha Christie and Virginia Woolf to Sylvia Plath and Fyodor Dostoevsky, The Life and Times of Literary Favorites is a four-part series exploring the biographies of some of the world's greatest writers. Each artist is introduced by portraits, followed by photograph and illustrations of locations and artifacts important to their lives, along with examples of their writing and their personal correspondence. Trace the friendships, loves and rivalries that inspired each individual, revealing insights into the larger-than-life characters, plots and settings they created. Lauren Radick's lectures will introduce key ideas, themes and literary techniques of each figure, revealing the imaginations and personalities behind their work, providing a compelling glimpse into the lives of the people behind the page.

Lauren Radick is a former early childhood administrator, avid reader, and lifelong learner. Her work included event planning, fundraising, and community relations. She has taught Hebrew School and was a PTA/PTSA President. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Journalism and Literature from Emerson College and a Master's Degree in Education from The George Washington University.

Lauren Radick is an adjunct literature instructor for OLLI at FIU. Her background as an early childhood administrator inspires her passion for learning and her lifelong love of reading. Lauren holds a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism and Literature from Emerson College and a Master's Degree in Education from The George Washington University.
