Why is Murder Wrong? A Study in Philosophical Ethics
1-Time Lecture | Registration closed 6/17/2024
We all agree that to murder an innocent person is wrong. But why? It is a harder question than most of us think. In trying to answer that question, we will explore the branch of philosophy called ethics. What makes certain behaviors right or wrong, good or bad? In attempting to answer this question, we will explore multiple approaches to ethics from Socrates to Kant, and from Bentham to postmodernism.
