 This intimate theatrical cabaret, developed at Washing­ton D.C’s Signature Theatre, weaves together the lives and iconic music of long-time friends and one-time lov­ers, Joni Mitchell and Leonard Cohen. Featuring thirteen songs that soundtracked generations of collective yearn­ing including A Case of You, Hallelujah, Big Yellow Taxi, Su­zanne and Who By Fire, Both Sides Now examines the mess­iness of being human and the struggle to stay connected. Starring and written by Frost School of Music alum and award-winning jazz vocalist, Danielle Wertz and rock-folk musician Robbie Schaefer. A Regional Premiere.

    Wednesday, December 18:


    12 noon: leave BBC with private bus for a transfer to Gablestage Theater in Coral Gables

    12.20 p.m.: Pick up attendees at Miami Shores Community Center 

    approx. 1.15 p.m. arrival at Gablestage 

    2 pm: Both Sides Now: The Music and Lives of Joni Mitchell and Leonard Cohen - play starts

    approx 4 p.m.: Talk back with John Dalton and members of Gablestage

    approx. 5 p.m.: Transfer with private bus back to BBC
John Dalton

John Dalton has worked in theater, film, and television since 1985. He has lived and worked in each of the major hubs for this industry: New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles. He has been an actor, model, producer, stage manager, casting director, and part of many backstage crews, and he brings these experiences from Prime Time TV, film, and theater to the class. He now resides in South Florida and teaches on the theory of theater.
