Yoo-Hoo! Mrs. Goldberg: The Story of Radio Pioneer Tillie Edelstein

1-Time Lecture | Available

The history of American Broadcasting cannot be told without the life story of Tillie Edelstein (1899 – 1966), an early pioneer of classic radio. As the wife of British businessman Louis Berg, she became Gertrude Berg, one of the first women to create, write, produce, and star in a long -running radio hit. Ronelle Delmont is back at OLLI at FIU to tell you this fascinating story!

Ronelle Delmont

Ronelle Delmont, long-time resident of Greenwich Village, was a newcomer to Florida's book review and lecture circuit when she began an unexpected career in public speaking. Her stimulating book and lecture topics are always meant to provoke thought and be entertaining at the same time. As a Hunter College drop-out in the 60s, Ronelle eventually graduated from Florida International University with a degree in International Relations in 1996 and her varied interests and lecture topics have made her one of South Florida’s most popular speakers.
