1-Time Lecture | Available
In honor of International Holocaust Remembrance Day on January 27, join Sylvia Gurinsky for a look at the pivotal roles of Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Harry S. Truman, U.S. presidents during a time of great tragedy and challenge for the Jewish people around the world. This program will examine the question of whether Roosevelt could have done more to help the Jews of Europe and how Truman overcame both personal prejudice and a biased State Department to recognize the State of Israel.
