Cinema Series with Shelly Isaacs:  Everything, Everywhere, All at Once in the Cinema

NOTE: This series includes six (6) live, virtual post-discussions for the term. If you will not be able to attend all discussions, we send the video recording of the session, so you don't miss the conversation!

In this six-week cinematic journey that transcends borders and genres we’ll delve into a diverse selection of internationally acclaimed films that explore powerful historical narratives, examinations of humanity, and the fascinating intersections of filmmaking and real-world conflict. We'll witness high-stakes espionage, and enjoy delightful blends of comedy and crime, all while considering universal questions of justice, truth, and resilience. I look forward to discussing these thought-provoking films, exploring their captivating themes, historical contexts, and artistic merits with you.

Shelly Isaacs

Shelly is founder, programmer and host for Cafe Cinematheque and Senses of Cinema programs available at many venues throughout South Florida. Previously, he enjoyed a long career as a creative director/writer & producer/director in advertising. He earned his MA in Media Ecology Studies from New York University, where he served as an adjunct in Graduate Level Cultural Studies. In 2009 Shelly launched Cinematheque at Sea, offering audiences who appreciate foreign-language film an opportunity to experience his program of specially-selected films while on luxury cruises throughout the world.
