In the Shadows of Evil: Women’s Lives Under the Nazi Regime

1-Time Lecture | To register, please call us at: 305-919-5900.

In 1929, Joseph Goebbels declared that a German woman's duty was to be beautiful and bear children—a belief central to the Third Reich. But what was the reality for both influential figures and ordinary women?

Historian Anette Isaacs explores how women like Magda Goebbels, Leni Riefenstahl, and Eva Braun navigated Nazi ideology, while also shedding light on the everyday experiences of German women under Hitler’s regime. A compelling look at ambition, propaganda, and life inside a totalitarian state.
