Cinema Series with Shelly Isaacs

This course will take place on 4 THURSDAYS: September 11, 18. 25 and October 9
THEME; THE ITALIANS; Faith, Family, and Change: These three films traverse different eras of Italian history, from the tumultuous period of unification in the 19th century to the social and economic upheavals of the post-war era, and the quiet, modern-day search for meaning in nature. They provide a compelling look at the enduring themes of Italian lifeāthe unbreakable bonds of family, the struggle between tradition and modernity, and the powerful role of faith and destiny in shaping individual lives.
