Gertrude Stein stood at the center of post–World War I Paris, giving voice to a disillusioned generation hungry for reinvention. A Jewish, openly queer woman in a male-dominated world, she broke boundaries with her radical style and bold identity. Through her legendary salon, she championed Hemingway, Picasso, Fitzgerald, and Joyce, shaping modern art and literature. More than part of the Lost Generation, she helped define it—and her legacy still inspires today.
