Truman Capote: 60th Anniversary of the Black and White Ball

1-Time Lecture | To register, please call us at: 305-919-5900.

Truman Capote’s legendary Black and White Ball transformed the Plaza Hotel into a dazzling stage where literary brilliance, high society, and masked intrigue collided. At its center stood Katharine Graham, the trailblazing publisher of The Washington Post, surrounded by icons like Frank Sinatra, Andy Warhol, Lady Bird Johnson, and Capote’s famed “Swans.” In this lecture, Lauren Radick takes us inside the spectacle, scandal, and legacy of the night that cemented Capote’s place as both cultural provocateur and literary innovator.
