In this thought-provoking two-part course via Zoom, Professor Sam Edelman examines the broad sweep of Arab colonization from the Atlantic to the Pacific and contrasts it with the contemporary charge that Zionism represents a form of settler colonialism. The lectures explore historical realities, ideological narratives, and the political uses of language in shaping modern perceptions of the Middle East. Through critical analysis and historical insight, Professor Edelman offers a nuanced framework for understanding this complex and often polarizing debate.
