FIU – WINTER B – ON CAMPUS

FEB 10 – MARCH 3

THEME: INVISIBLE CONNECTIONS: Cinematic Tapestries

This collection of films explores the delicate threads of human connection, where the lives of strangers are bound together by shared geography and the universal experiences of love, loss, resilience, and renewal.

Feb 10 - Paris (2008) France – 130 min. The City of Light becomes a vibrant "symphony," proving that even in a crowd of millions, our private heartbreaks are what truly connect us.

Feb 17 - Masaan (2015) India – 109 min. The sacred banks of the Ganges provide the backdrop for a powerful story of social barriers and personal rebirth. A masterful depiction of how the river of life carries us all, washing away the old to make room for the new.

Feb 24 – There is No Evil (2020) Iran – 150 min.Shot in secret and smuggled out of Iran, this anthology film comprises four moral tales about men faced with a simple yet unthinkable choice – to follow orders or resist and risk everything. Whatever they decide, it will directly or indirectly affect their lives, their relationships, and their consciences. Shot through with a sense of urgency, it is an incisive look at the moral strength and inner humanity of its protagonists.

March 3 - Intimate Stories (2002) Argentina – 102 min. A road movie along the wide-open Patagonian landscape where three characters travel the same path toward the same destination, highlighting the small coincidences that define us.

  • Held in person at FIU's Biscayne Bay campus.  Members save $20 and enjoy free parking at our BBC campus during class.
