Cinema Series with Shelly Isaacs Via Zoom

Series Theme: The Uncharted Map of the Heart:  In this series, we explore the lives of individuals standing at a crossroads. Whether haunted by the ghosts of history, navigating the pressures of a modernizing city, or crossing oceans for the promise of a new start, these characters remind us that it is never too late to rediscover who we are. We will examine how memory shapes our present and how unexpected connections can illuminate the path forward.

Shelly Isaacs

Shelly is founder, programmer and host for Cafe Cinematheque and Senses of Cinema programs available at many venues throughout South Florida. Previously, he enjoyed a long career as a creative director/writer & producer/director in advertising. He earned his MA in Media Ecology Studies from New York University, where he served as an adjunct in Graduate Level Cultural Studies. In 2009 Shelly launched Cinematheque at Sea, offering audiences who appreciate foreign-language film an opportunity to experience his program of specially-selected films while on luxury cruises throughout the world.
