This class will focus on Spring Florals.  The beauty of watercolor is found in its translucency and soft, loose diffusions…making this medium so unique!  Learn various techniques to control the pigment vs. water ratios, brush techniques to add variation, underpainting, glazing, lifting, and washes to keep your work loose and translucent. Learn the joy of letting go and finding a balance between controlling and freeing this painting medium.

  • Please see attached supply list for this class/workshop.  If you do not want to purchase supplies at this time, the instructor will provide you with a supply kit for your use during the workshop for a $20 fee.  Email Nancy immediately after you register for your class.
Please note:  It is important for you to use the  proper supplies for you to have a positive experience and not become frustrated due to inferior supplies.

  • I always recommend to my students to purchase fewer supplies, but better quality.  When learning watercolor, often students may get frustrated, not due to their ability, but instead due to inconsistencies that student grade supplies give them.

There are a few basic supplies you will need.

These are my recommendations but bring what you have.

    PAINTS:  Invest in better paints.

    • I like Holbein watercolors.  You can purchase it on Amazon.
