Introduction to Woodworking A

Description: In five four-hour sessions students will experience a comprehensive introduction to woodworking and woodworking machines. Students will build their own cutting board and a stool to take home. During this class, students will:
Operate a drill press, router table, drum sander, and other stationary sanding machines safely.
Learn to use glue and clamps.
Learn how to square lumber.
Learn how to prepare a project for finishing and apply a finishing product.
Prerequisites:
Students must be at least 18 years old.
Projects:
Cutting board
Step stool
Preparation:
- Students should bring pencils, safety goggles, and earplugs to class.
