Class Description: You took Intro to CNC and can't remember what you learned. Refresh yourknowledge and your confidence by taking this quick refresher class. Each student will complete two
jobs on the CNCs.
The objective of this class is to reteach SDFWA shop members how to run jobs on the SDFWA
Shapeoko CNC machines. This is not a design class, although some design elements will be
discussed.
Before the first class, students will be assigned preparatory homework. This preclass homework
includes downloading and installing the current version of Carbide Create and, if appropriate, VCarve
software. During class, students must have a laptop loaded with the class software. A short
discussion will be held regarding the VCarve logging in process on the shop's CNC computers.
This class is available to only to SDFWA members with shop privileges.
Prerequisites:
Students must be at least 18 years old.

Note: Outside of class time, use of the SDFWA CNC is restricted to Shop members only.
Because this class requires extensive study and preparation that must be completed ahead of time, Registration will close 7 days prior to the first class meeting in order to give students adequate time to prepare.
