Table Saw Joinery

This class is for students wishing to expand their knowledge and skills in using the table saw for woodworking joinery and related functions using a variety of shop jigs. Shop available sleds and jigs will be demonstrated to make miter cuts for a picture frame and to make straight line rip, taper rip for a table leg and thin strip rip cuts.

Students will learn table saw principles setup for rabbets, grooves and dados and make a drawer using tongue and groove joinery. Students will learn and practice methods for cutting tenons, lap joints and finger joints on the table saw. 

  • Prerequisites:
    Students must be at least 18 years old;
    Introduction to Wood Working A or equivalent experience
     
    Format: 1, 4 hour session

    Project you will make: A drawer box using tongue and groove joinery
