This is a Digital Special Interest Group lab to get together to watch instruction on Vcarve project creation.  

Zen Barelka will lead the session which is focused on developing CNC projects in Vcarve software.  The videos feature Kyle Ely, who  is a highly-regarded Vectric instructor.  He offers videos which are a members-only class on designing a Vcarve project. In just one hour, he takes participants from a blank page to a CNC-ready to run project.  He ihas agreed to host his class in our shop. I believe it will be both educational for beginners and inspiring for experienced CNC users.

After the one hour training session Zen plans to offer the  3:00 PM to 4:00 PM slot for live CNC Q&A and making HGS items. This is in the early planning stages, so all ideas are welcome. The motivation for this Lab session comes from a strong interest in CNCs and the need for more project-based instruction than we currently offer. IWith the enthusiasm for the Shaper Origin and CNC routers, this lab offers a channel for users to get hands-on tool use. For recent Intro to CNC students, most know how to operate the machines and have project ideas, but lack confidence in their design skills.?
