Introduction to Kumiko

Description: Kumiko is a traditional Japanese art form that involves assembling small, precisely cut wooden pieces into intricate geometric patterns without using nails or glue. Students will complete one kumiko panel (Asanoha) that is suitable to be framed or incorporated into another woodworking project by learning how to size and cut thin wood strips, use Kumiko jigs, perform final assembly.
