ONSITE: Handbuilding: Create an Altar or Cabinet of Curiosities (A)

Adult Intensive | This class is completed

Create a hanging altar or curiosity cabinet for your precious keepsakes. Participants will use stoneware clay and create imagery using a proprietary transfer technique. You will be able to return for one day to glaze your work using the mishima technique and clear glaze.

  • If under age 18, must also register with an adult. Work will have a clear coat of glaze, and be ready to pick up by the holidays. In rare cases, firing may be behind and not out by the holiday.

Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.

We will do our best to have these done in time for the holidays, but it is not guaranteed.

This is an On-site course. Students must follow current Covid-19 protocols, as outlined on our website. On-site courses do not come with studio access outside of class time. Paid open studio access is available through our Studio Access Program. Please visit visarts.org for more information.
