ONSITE: Bojagi: Korean Patchwork

Adult Multi-Week | This class has been canceled

Learn the basics of Bojagi, Korean patchwork. This class will cover the history of the tradition of bojagi, basic sewing techniques and finishing seam allowances.

  • Students should bring a fabric marker, sharp sewing needles or embroidery needles, pins, woven fabric, thread, scissors, + ruler.

Some basic sewing knowledge and hand sewing skill will be helpful for this class but is not absolutely necessary. All projects for this class are hand sewn. Students are encouraged to bring a variety of woven fabric scraps. Contrasting sewing thread is recommended; stretch fabrics are not great for this style of patchwork.

Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.

This is an On-site course. Students must follow current Covid-19 protocols, as outlined on our website. On-site courses do not come with studio access outside of class time. Paid open studio access is available through our Studio Access Program. Please visit visarts.org for more information.
