This course introduces students to the creation process of game environment and level art. Students will experience the complete process of creating game-level components and mock-ups and walk away with their own art assets, a finished environment mockup, and a basic understanding of the environment creation process.

  • This is an ONSITE course. Students are expected to adhere to our COVID-19 policies. For more info please visit visarts.org. 

    This class counts as a Special topics course in our Art League Certificate Program.

    Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.


McCoy, Darion

Darion McCoy is a multi-disciplinary creative and software developer with over ten years of expertise. Since graduating from Savannah College of Art and Design, he has achieved accomplishments in various fields, including illustration, product design, and game development. Darion recently relocated from Brooklyn, NY, where he taught at New York University’s game design department. He works as a product designer and dedicates spare time to video game development and personal art.
