In this class, students will learn how to create beautiful monotypes without a press. Students will practice developing images with stencils, stamps, and drawing utilizing bands of color and texture. Students will use pre-made stencils and will also create some of their own. Come experiment and see how accident and intent can play into our artwork.

  • Students will need a gelli-plate, acrylic paints and paper. We have some Gelli-plates to use if you do not wish to buy.

Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.
This is an On-site course. Students must follow current Covid-19 protocols, as outlined on our website. On-site courses do not come with studio access outside of class time. Paid open studio access is available through our Studio Access Program. Please visit visarts.org for more information.
