Explore screenprinting, a process that allows artists to create hand-printed multiples of the same image. Translate your graphic design, photography, or drawings into vibrant, layered compositions. Learn a variety of ways to create screens that can be used to print onto fabric, paper or wood.

  • This class does not meet on 7/4.
    You will need to provide any specialty paper or tshirts/totebags for individual projects; basic paper and other materials and equipment are provided.



    Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.
    This is an On-site course. Students must follow current Covid-19 protocols, as outlined on our website. On-site courses do not come with studio access outside of class time. Paid open studio access is available through our Studio Access Program. Please visit visarts.org for more information.
Robertson, Travis

Raised on a tomato farm in Hanover county, Travis Robertson honed his squeegee skills in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley at the art department of James Madison University. From 2003-2007 he served as the assistant editor of The Drama, a quarterly arts magazine for contemporary art, design, and illustration. Today, he is the art director for Spacebomb Records, and sole proprietor of Archaic Mess, a modest printshop located in the Northside of Richmond, VA.
