Use concrete and a solar pump to make a bubbling birdbath to help our feathered friends stay cool this summer. You will design your own birdbath with moving water and other features that attract birds to your porch or garden. Keep it classic or get creative!

  • Students need to come to the first four to five classes in order to learn the process. The final three to four classes will provide students with more flexibility as they make a mold of an object of their choosing. Mixing and moving concrete can be mildly to moderately labor-intensive, depending on the scale you choose to work at. You will need to provide your own safety mask, trowel and/or shovel, and small hand tools for mixing and manipulating concrete. You may want to source your own found objects (sticks, rocks etc) to incorporate into your design.

Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.
This is an On-site course. Students must follow current Covid-19 protocols, as outlined on our website. On-site courses do not come with studio access outside of class time. Paid open studio access is available through our Studio Access Program. Please visit visarts.org for more information.
