Family Fun: Weave a Mini Tapestry (Adults and Youth all ages with a Registered Adult)

Learn basic weaving skills to create your own small tapestry on a tiny loom! Weaving is a relaxing activity for any age. In this class, we will go over basic weaving skills, create a recycled cardboard loom, and learn how to weave a tiny image with yarn.


  • If under 18, student must be accompanied by a registered adult. Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible. On-site courses do not come with studio access outside of class time. Paid open studio access is available through our Studio Access Program. Please visit visarts.org for more information.
Larney, Hannah
Hannah Larney

Hannah Larney is an artist and educator based in RVA. She graduated from VCUarts in 2018 with a BFA in Art Education, and spent four years as the art teacher at Acquinton Elementary School in King William County. Hannah views art as a means of exploring ideas and making sense of the world, and she encourages her students to take creative risks and express themselves in new ways. When she's not in a classroom you'll usually find her reading a book, working in the garden, or running on a trail by the river.
