Photo Printing with Sunlight: Alternative Processes

Adult Multi-Week | Available

Before the invention of film and enlargers, photographers would make images and prints with sunlight. In this workshop, students will learn two alternative-process photographic techniques that allow you to produce photographic prints outside of the darkroom-- lumen printing, anthotypes and cyanotypes. Each image made is one of a kind, handmade and vividly colored. Students will learn how to enhance printing options and make digital negative files.

  • Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.

On-site courses do not come with studio access outside of class time. Paid open studio access is available through our Studio Access Program. Please visit visarts.org for more information.

This instructor speaks Spanish, but the class is held in English.
