Leatherworking: Make a Card Holder Necklace – New! (Adults and Youth 12+ with a Registered Adult)

Learn the basics of leatherworking to create a fully handmade, one-of-a-kind leather necklace with dyed decorative shells or gems. You will learn how to use a custom leather card holder necklace pattern, how to select appropriate types of leather for small goods, safe and confident handling of essential leatherworking tools and techniques, and finishing techniques for clean edges and professional surface treatment.
Accessibility notes: Many artmaking processes require the ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time, fine motor skills/finger dexterity, repetitive motions, vision, and some amount of physical strength. VisArts values making classes accessible to everyone, and is always happy to work with students to make accommodations when possible.
